Tag TutorialWhy metal? ...Because veterinary journals tell us that many dogs have choked on plastic ones that they have been able to chew on. Many of the harder plastics splinter into sharp lethal pieces. Plastics remind them too much of chew toys! Why stamped? ...Engraving is just another way of saying lightly scratching the surface. Watch out for companies that offer backside printing. Properly STAMPED ones have the pattern showing slightly through to the backside because of the depth of the stamping. The backside can't be stamped without defacing the front. Why s-hooks? ...Pull hard on one fastened with a split ring and you'll see it open. They are used to save our competitors postage since each one costs $.12 less to mail because an envelope with a twisted S-hook in it is thicker and requires special handling by the postal service. Why not different metals? ...If two different metals are in contact, the harder one will always wear away the softer one and possibly make it unreadable! forethought to properly and safely use tags. |
